Yes, I honestly do. Back in 1985, Commodore and Apple were both sucking
wind. Apple wound up "hitting a home run with desktop publishing", and not
only saved themselves, but went on to prosper (the quotes were from a
Commodore spokesperson, I don't remeber his name, but he's not there
anymore).
I believe that Apple and IBM believe that Commodore can "hit a home run"
in the area of multimedia, as Apple did some years earlier. In particular,
I feel Apple, now that they've crossed the bridge, wants to burn it to make
sure no other companies follow their foot steps. This is why I feel Apple
completely ignores the Amiga and sometimes makes dubious claims, like the
one where they claimed that the Apple Macintosh can run more software than
any other computer on the market, because they can run Mac, PC (with
SoftPC) and UNIX. This ad actually ran in PC Magazine, which got me mad
enough to EMAIL a complaint to PC Magnet; I haven't seen the ad after the
first two times it ran.
