Fred, since you are interested in Amiga anims over 24bit backgrounds, you might want to check out the FireCracker24 board. (amiga board, not Bridgeboard). It offers 24bit RGB in any of 384/512/768/1024 horizontal resolution and 482 vertical. The hot news is that the regular amiga display can be overlay'd on top of the 24bit image, thereby allowing full hires, 24bit color backgrounds, with amiga anims on the top. Spectacular. In the 384 or 512 modes, the board can hold two images, which can then be switched between, for rudimentary page flipping. With creative preloads in to the non-displayed buffer, one can have plenty of background changes as well. Finally, the entire shebang output can then be genlocked or composite encoded to video. Finally also, Black Belt has released an incredible image processing program that uses the FireCracker (caled ImageMaster Professional, I think). All on the Amiga – no Bridecard required in any way.
