Allan; Not up on your question so forgive me if my comments are "off base." From Bob's answer to you, I am presuming that you want to add another HD to an Amiga. I don't know much about the Trumpcard (heck, what do you know Bill?), but some controllers are particular about the device unit numbers. In particular, the GVP controllers do not want you to skip numbers. If you are having trouble, that may be one thing that you should consider (BTW, it won't hurt anything if you do skip numbers and the controller insists that you don't… the drive just won't be recognized). As to termination resistors… There should be one set of terminators on each chain of drives. For most controllers that means that there should be a set of terminating resistors in one and only one drive. With some controllers, there are two different connection points for drives… and this is where things get tricky if you don't have the controller's manual: For instance, the CBM 2091 has two SCSI connectors but only one of the drives should have a terminator (the last drive on the external connector). The Kronos OTOH should have a terminator on one of the internal drives and a terminator on one of the external drives. An Amiga message processed by Whap!, bill
