I would like to introduce me as a new member of this forum. Our company
(Dr.Holthaus+Heinisch) has spezialised in CD-ROMnetworks with Meridian
servers. In the last 3 years we have installed more than 140 314/14
servers, often together with Pioneer or NSM-jukebox-servers. in the end our
customers now work with more than 3000 networked CD-ROMs. We use LogiCraft
Omniware to additionally allow terminals (VTxxx) and XWindows to access our
networks. the average installation is: 14 CD-ROM-players networked, 40 PCs
accessing, Novell (90%), but also OS/2, Banyan, Pathworks. bibig
installations are: 400 PC accessing 28 CD-ROMs, 60 PCs and unkown number of
terminals accessing 42 CD-ROMs in Meridian 314/14 and 200 CD-ROM in
jukebox-server with NSM-jukebox. we have a own software to control the
network and grant security which is called CD-Manager/5. A Listservers
exist in UB Dortmund, where users can read and send messages concerning
CD-NET and CD-Manager by internet. now we are starting windows-based
CD-ROM-networks, multimedia in network, photo-cd in network. all questions
