CBM, unlike certain other companies we can mention, does not tend to pre announce new machines until they are ready or nearly ready to ship. However, there have already been articles in a couple of magazines concerning the impending release of a Tower configuration Amiga 3000. I'd call that a new model for this year. Everything I've heard is that Amiga sales, instead of being down sharply, are instead significantly higher than expected, causing a backlog of the higher end machines. (BTW, nearly every computer manufacturer tends to release backorder figures, under the idea that if people think a product is selling so well it is backordered, it is selling very well indeed. IBM is particularly notorious in using this tactic when releasing new models: they deliberately underproduce the new model at times for just this reason…) –>Steve Bennett
