Chris, could be that when Setpatch -r is used on your Dad's 500 it checks
to see if you have less than 1meg of Chip ram, as in the 500, and if so
doesn't install the patch and modify the Cold Capture vector. But on a 3000
it sees the 1 or 2 meg Chip ram and installs the patch. If you read the
VirusX docs you will find there is an option to disable the Cold Capture
error message, something like VirusX -r . By the way, I think the correct
notation for the Setpatch is Setpatch r and not Setpatch -r as I typed
above.
