I am a contract programmer with Xiphias, which means I am closely associated with the two TimeTable of History disks, the SilverPalette cookbook, the Amer. Heritage Dictionary, and the Grolier Encyclopedia. (most of the "reference" disks now available) I'm up in the Marina Del Rey area. Xiphias is nearby. It doesnt look like i'll be in town when you come thru, sorry. The time table disks are a lot of fun to browse through. They are about 6000 short stories on events in history. Lots of pictures and other effects. The Dictionary is also fun (suprise!) due to the large number of images and the quick linking from one definition to another. Grolier's also has lots of hyperlinks. I know many people who have gotten so involved in the timetables they nearly a)forgot to eat b) lost their jobs. 🙂
