Glad to see some othis will be in IP. Remember the "union/intersection of new region with current region feature" I (think I) also mentioned? This makes masking even more powerful. One other problem I have is that most of my ham-e images are "locked up" in anims. Awww.. ferget it. you're gonna tell me to not convert them and do whatever it is in Arexx controlling IP. Anyway, As ypu probably know, HAM-E is a great "lossy" compression technique for 24-bit images (roughly 1/3 the size). Still, IFF14 and its RLE leaves something to be desired. Are you considering supporting other compression techniques so that a large number of essentially 24-bit images can be stored on a disk, suitable for work with IP?I've not seen any technical literature on the so-called Fractal compression technique. As you know, most 24-bit compression compresses the "luminance " and Chrominance separately, at different resolutions. perhaps there's an even more "phenomenological" ordering of colorspace than tose techniques suggest. Just asking you to solve one of the hottest problems in 20th century telecom.
