Withouth them, you won't see any files from workbench. I've never tried to do a "drag and drop" using CrossDOS. Either use a shell, or UtiliMaster. (I DL CIS files on my Mac using Navigator (same idea as Whap), copy them to my '386's hd using the Central Point PC Option Board (Reads MAC disks on the IBM) and then after copying them onto IBM 720K 3.5 disks, copy them onto my Amiga HD using CrossDOS). You might have her try Utilimaster, SID, DiskMaster, DirMaster (DiskMasters original shareware version) to manage her files. Easier to use than the CLI or shell for most things, and more versatile than Workbench. On the IBM side, Emery Wooten has a great shareware program called Stereo Shell that is the closest thing to any of the above mentioned Amiga programs I've found on the IBM. Complete with dual window displays.
