It sounds like you didn't 'unpack' the archive containing the bplus xpr library. Most of the files on CIS are compressed archives which makes the files smaller and allows all related files for a program to be transfered in a single archive. You can tell which 'unpacking' program you need by looking at the extension on the filename you downloaded. If you downloaded a file called BPLUS.LHA or BPLUS.LZH, for example, you would need to unpack that archive with LHA138.RUN (from library 16 of AmigaUser). LHA138.RUN is a "self-extracting archive" and does not require an 'unpacking' program. After downloading LHA138.RUN to RAM:, open a shell, CD to RAM: and then enter-> LHA138.RUN. You'l see the doc files and a program file called LHA. Copy LHA to your C: directory. Then, to use LHA to unpack other programs (like BPLUS.LHA), open a shell, cd to ram: or DF0: or wherever you want the files to end up, and type: LHA -x x <filename.ext> In the case of BPLUS.LHA, you'll end up with a file called "xprbplus.library", which you can then copy to your Libs: directory. BEWARE… AmigaDos .library names _are_ case sensitive. Do not alter the case of the filename.
