Michael,
I ordered mine the end of May with no deposit on a Saturday & picked
it up the following Tuesday. I think the answer is NO DEPOSIT. There is
very little markup on hardware so if the dealer makes nothing until he
ships he naturally will ship more quickly. I'd bet that had those others
used the NO DEPOSIT approach they would have had 3000's long ago.
