CompuServe Messages

Ok, I'm back with a question about my PPI 9600SA modem and WHAP! I have an intermitant problem in which when downloading messages with WHAP!, sometimes messages are repeated and sometimes whole threads. I have noticed this while actually viewing the process, the screen will stop at the same message several times in a row when doing disk writes to my harddrive. I asked the PPI people about this and they feel that it is a software/computer hardware problem, one or both can't handle the 9600baud speed. I do not have this problem when I use 2400 baud. I am using an A500 with a standard 68000 cpu and a Xetec fastrak harddrive and 1 meg chip and 4 megs fast ram. Any ideas, or am I destined to this problem? -Rick Graff
