The Flicker Fixer outputs ONLY 31.5kHz. It DOES scan double the
non-interlace screens (meaning NO scan lines). It will display all current
amiga video modes. You are right that it will not work with some of the
ECS modes. Check them out and see if you need them. You could still plug
your monitor into the regular video port when you get ECS and absolutely
must use an incompatible mode. The FF does not have the infamous "zipper"
yech! I have a FF on my machine at home and a 2320 here at work. Both are
OK but I prefer the FF. I had to swap out some resistor packs on my A2320
before it would work right. The FF can be made compatible with any genlock
while the A2320 will not work with some. The FF can also be moved out of
the video slot with an option.
To sum up: I feel the FF is NOT just something to be dumped at this
time. It does its job well.
