>>Any thoughts on which C compiler … is best? There is no better way to start a bar room brawl amoung programmers than to ask which compiler is best. Okay, here is my opinion, FWIW. There are two popular commercial compilers, SAS and Aztec. I have and use SAS, and like it, even though the documentation is pitiful. SAS seems to be more popular amoung developers (Aztec supportors feel free to disagree). The SAS is a compleate, almost fully ANSI conforming system. From reports I have seen, the Aztec system is also an excellent system. A third choice is the dice compiler which is available here. Since it is a shareware or PD (I'm not sure which), you don't get the support you do from the commercial systems. To an outsider, I'll bet there isn't a dime's worth of difference between SAS and Aztec. Each has a few things the other doesn't. If one of those things is important to your way of working, get that one. Bill Roberts in Ellettsville In. via Whap!
