PG2 Question
Ric:
With all due respect, that's got to be the stupidest position I've ever
heard a software publisher take with regard to a user's suggestion.
By your comment, 'dropping WordPerfect is a decision that has already been
made,' do you mean to say that once a decision is made at SoftWood, no
further discussion on the subject is allowed? That's a curious stance – I
don't think it would work in my company. It appears to me that the
software publishing industry is quite dynamic and company policy would be
MOSTLY dictated by end-user feedback.
And since when does your role as productivity software manufacturer extend
to 'encouraging' customers to abandon products that fulfill their needs and
have stood the test of time much longer than Final Copy?
The truth is, my company uses Amigas exclusively. Some of us prefer FCII
(I do – I no longer have WordPerfect installed at my desk), but many people
here rely HEAVILY on WP 4.1 and will forgo PG for the hassle of using it
with WP files.
