Mike, Thanks for the info. Actually I do have the tutorial and have gone through the section on mapping. It's not that I can't or don't understan mapping, I do. I do use it. I just can't figure out certain aspects of it. For instance, I am working on a walkthrough of a house and can't get a good woodgrain effect on my kitchen table. The light wood that comes with 3ds looks real grainy. I saw somewhere in the manual about increasing the resoultion of the map, but it doesn't say to what. Also, I was looking at a rendering of a kitchen in the file library and can't quite figure out how to make the cabinets doors. They seem routed so nicely and I assume it's just a map on a flat surface. But how do you make the map. Or the sheets in the Bedroom2 scene. They have wrinkles in them, which is just a texture map. Oh well, any more info you (or anyone else) could give me would be much appreciated. Thanks Dave
