2.0/1.3 device probs

I've come across some differences in 1.3 and 2.0's console.devices. Whats
happening is that, in 2.0, when the cursor is at the bottom of the window
and it receives a CR/LF which scrolls up the text, it fills in the bottom
line with black spaces. It uses the colors from the opening windows Fg/Bg
Pens correctly UNTIL it scrolls the window, then it just blacks the rest of
the line out. I've set the color using [0;30;43m to give me black text on
a white background, but I still get black when the CR/LF occur. And this
only happens on 2.0, not 1.3.
I'm using an old 3000 with 1.3/2.0 in RAM, could this be the problem? Or is
2.0 console.device messed up?
