When I upgraded to AMAXII+, I got the card and don't have the cartridge or
my cutting edge drive hooked up any longer. So far, I've had no problem
reading Mac disks in with the Amiga internal drive.
I recall a lot of discussion about some Cutting Edge drives not working
properly or consistently with Amax. Can you borrow a real external Mac
drive from someone and see if Amax exhibits the same problems with a
'real' disk drive?
If your Cutting Edge is still under warranty, I'm sure that they would be
willing to exchange it for you.
