Well, I guess I was defining 'conservative' as 'most likely to be popular' or something like that 🙂 Supra has sold so many modems to so many people that I figured that their 9600 would also sell a lot, hence it would get a lot of support from other programs, etc. Probably the wrong way of thinking about it, and *maybe* not the choice I would have made if I'd had more time to research, but what the heck, it's only a modem. So long as it gets to onto CIS and a few other boards, and will serve to fax some stuff to folks (not intensive fax use) then I'll likely be satisfied.
