Javier,
The 040 is going to be slower on functions such as fractal noise and bumps.
Make sure that you are running the FP version of LightWave (click on the
about button and if it doesn't say "fp", you are running the slower
version) If you are running the slower version, you need to rename
LightWave.fp as LightWave (see Toaster Tricks colum in Avid – March or
april issue). There is a new LightWave in the works which will take better
advantage of 040's and things will be MUCH speeded up.
