QB Corrupt Backup Again
Since posting my first message, I have tested all my backups. All 16
sets. I have found a "neat" common factor in all the backup sets that
cannot be read. It seems that the first file that cannot be read is ALWAYS
the first file in a subdirectory, and the last file that cannot be read is
ALWAYS the last file in a subdirectory. One of my backup sets consisted of
files all from the same directory (22 disks); it tested fine for all the
disks.
At first I thought I may have media problems, or a misaligned drive.
But I think it is a problem QB has with some directory structures.
When I have time this weekend I will upload the QB test files created,
and also one of the sets of corrupt backups(it's only 2 disks).
