Bill,
Thanks for making that distinction for the 500C. I'm not planning to
spend any more than $500 on my next printer (leaving out the 550C and most
lasers), and since *most* of my printing would be black, it seemed like an
unnecessary expense to use up 3 jets trying to print most of my printing.
Knowing the jets can be switched to use black when everything on a page
makes more sense (for my purposes), and is probably how I would use it
most of the time.
