Those are all good ideas. For me though, if it comes down to hacking the
case or hacking the boards, I'll hack the case any time. The idea of
mounting a BNC on the bottom of the existing bracket is a good one. The way
the Toaster fits into the tower, the #1 input is inside. (Actually I found
the #2 hit the case, but only while the board was being installed.)
Anyway, you could make a short cable with a male BNC to plug into #1 and a
chassis mount BNC on the other end mounted below the bottom jack. I'm not
sure the extra connectors would be considered 'good practice'.
