JUST DO IT!
I have used an 88MB Syquest unit on 3 Amigas (3000, 2500 w/GVP acc. (2))
w/o problems. Cartridges are great – especially if you do lots of big art.
HDToolBox is a utility that came on my A3000 when I got it throught the
developer program a few years ago. I HAVE NOT seen it on the commercial
release of WorkBench 2.0, and don't know why (maybe I just wasn't looking
in the right place – it was in my System folder). This utility was written
by Commodore, and allows you to set parameters for the Rigid Disk Blocks
(the first blocks oneach partition which stores the info as to size of
partition, name , filing system, etc.). It may only work with the Commodore
SCSI controller though.
The beta version of WB2.0 also included a HD Backup utility that didn't get
released with the commercial WB 2.0 release either.
You might want to double-check and make sure your HD controller supports
the new Rigid Disk Block format for HD's, as this is a useful standard.
Good Luck,
Erik Flom
