Well, dig this. the ~80 meg .jpeg fils got converted to tiff, and then
directly to Targa format, piling up on two sides of a Sony Optical..
Fortuantely, Targa does some crude compression 'cuz it fit in the measly
600 meg. THEN, using NFS networking, the files got siphoned off the optical
to various hard drives on 4 different machines (a bit tight for space the
other day), and now they are sitting on one (new) 1.6 G hard drive, on
their way to being taped up and sent to LA, where they'll be single framed.
Oh, brother!
