Are the write errors by any chance on Block 880? Is he using an
Air Drive for the external by any chance? Does he have a 2.04 ROM by any
chance?
IF yes to all 3, then the problem is in his AIR drive. CBM
tightened up the timing in 2.04 and drives that are out of spec will cause
that problem. There's a new setpatch coming out that will change the
timing back to the 1.3 values.
