Alan, In September 1992 I recieved the 'Oxxi Update' brochure in the mail. A few days later I called Oxxi at (310)427-1227 and ordered the upgrade on my VISA. Chistmas came and went with no reciept of upgrade. I called in Jan. 93 to inquire as to why and they said they were working on it; call back in 3 or 4 weeks. I wasn't worried to much since my VISA had not been charged. I called again in Feb (?) and they said call back in 3 or 4 weeks. Last VISA statement had the upgrade charge on it. But no reciept of upgrade. NOW I begin to worry. Local Amiga dealer says he's heard of the impending upgrade. If he (the dealer) recieves it before I do then it's PANIC time. Lengthly delays in software development I can understand (l'm a programmer myself) but paying for something you have not promptly recieved is a little disconcerting. Considering how old my copy of SBase is (no maintenance updates) I would consider ANY upgrade to be worth the $65 (US) it cost me. While the database engine works like a charm, it's interface is more than a little dated. If the quality of the original version is maintained in the upgrade then I feel the upgrade it well worth the price. Tom …
