I have a LEADING EDGE 386-SL Notebook with an external SCSI port. I just purchased the NEC EXPRESS CD-ROM package with the NEC (Intersect) CD-ROM Reader (model CDR-25). Since I cannot use the included SCSI host interface card because I have no expansion slot, I have been trying to use the SCSI port on the Notebook. My continuing problem is that despite the floppy disk LEADING EDGE includes with SCSI drivers on it, my computer, when it boots, keeps saying the following: "Warning: No SCSI host adapter detected." "No TSLCD functions in use. Driver aborting." I have unsuccessfully tried to use the NEC CD EXPRESS "Geoworks CD-ROM Manager" configuration/installation disk. It seems to only recognize the SCSI host adapter which came with it. I called NEC and they said to find a device driver software. LEADING EDGE had no solutions. Please help! I've followed the instructions many times and have altered my config.sys and autoexec.bat files as required. Thanks.
