The solder connection should be a duplicate of the connection that was on the card, no tricks involved. it should work as if it weren't there. I know the manual is intense. I wish I could help you but all I seem to remember is that it took me two days to work it all out, then it was simple after that. Magni is pretty good about technical support so maybe they will help you. All I can suggest is that you try something simple first, like just getting the card to output your VGA display, eg. your DOS prompt. Go for the keying stuff after you get that working. Good luck!
