Gary, the Laser Library (CDU-7205) is a good drive and is compatible with most titles available today, BUT it is not technically MPC-compliant. It also uses a proprietary Sony, i.e. not SCSI, bus which means you won't be able to chain additional devices off the controller card in the future as with SCSI. And if you have visions of heavy video, animation, etc., it's not the speed demon that some of the higher-end drives are today; but those are still pretty expensive, and a used LL should be dirt cheap. Sony's tech support kinda notoriously sucks swamp water, but nobody's seems to shine. You will probably want a good sound card to go with the drive too, although it'll function minimally with headphones alone. If it's not coming with one, and the cables necessary to interconnect the two, be careful. I kinda remember hearing that they're harder to find in Europe, but I'm not certain of that.
