Glen, I downloaded "cdfaq.txt" from the general library. It answers frequently asked questions including my sound board question. Back to my original thread: I get the "run time error" immediately at the start of the "A Line in the Sand" title. There doesn't seem to be any install options to play with. While displaying the "run time error" message, I can hear someone making a speech. I assume there is an accompaning video I'm not seeing. The encyclopedia title works fine except for the videos which have no sound. However, I believe this problem will be resolved when I get the Sound Blaster audio cable. I expect the audio cable by the end of the week. I'll let you know if I make any progress, in the meantime, any additional suggestions or ideas you have are most welcomed. Thanks, Ed
