I just solved my problem 2 days ago, the problem was external to 3Dstudio, in my Autoexec.bat file I called the vvesa.com file used with the internal ATI card in my PC, the vvesa.com was the following version delivered with my latest PC in may (Vesa Super VGA Bios extension 1.2 (VS911022) implementation 2.01., however if you go to the ATI forum (GO ATITECH) a new driver implementation 2.15 is downloadable since 15 July this one solved my problem, don't know if it is the same as yours, because my PC rebooted without ever starting to read or write a FLC, FLI, etc…. 🙂 hope your card uses also vvesa.com, so watch your drivers because after having had problems with other software, I know a lot of the time drivers are the problem, they conflict sometimes with one another, so try reading only one at a time by putting the REM statement before the others in your Autoexec.bat and in your other batch files. Maybe then you can find the corrupting file. 😀 Christophe
