Tim, Vistapro uses it's own format for DEM data which is much less verbose than the USGS ascii format (about 1 byte per point as opposed to the USGS's ~6 bytes per point). If you want to convert USGS format to Vistapro format you can use the program I wrote called MCNV.EXE. There's an older version available in VRLI DL section of GraphAVen (GO VRLI). There's a newer version on VRLI's BBS at 805-781-2257 — look for MCNV3.LZH. Have fun… John.
