Mitch, While in the viewport looking at the side of the cylinder do a Select-Face-Window and clich just outside the face you wish to delete. Then stretch the bounding box till it lines up with the end face (that part of the box will turn black when it's lined up) then click. Then it is Modify-Face-Delete with Selected on. -Ralph Frantz
