>>I am using the built in PCPADI driver. Hmmm. You got me! I had no problem using the VGA driver. >>What does ADI stand for anyway? Autodesk Device Interface, which is meant to be a standard spec that mfgs and software developers can use to write drivers that can then communicate with the Autodesk software. But they were really meant for AutoCAD and I guess they didn't quite have the flexability demanded by something as different as 3DS. >>I have the Vibrant drivers set up on another machine and I still get a >>black and white mapping icon. Check your version # (of the drivers). Are these AutoCAD drivers that also provide 3DS support or are they the ProRes3D drivers? I THINK the first version of ProRes that supported the color icons (plus the increased vector redraw speed) was v2.1 — give a holler at Robert E. Bou 72540,1253 or Brian Massey 71034,2611 — they're both with Vibrant (or Jack Bayt, though it seems that his ID ain't in my address book). >>… so I can now fly through sewers, which after all is my main goal. Have you ever thought about therapy?<g> Dave
