Compressing FLCs
Two 321 Meg hard drives used to be able to contain files from the many
applications I use.
It took me about 2 years before they got full for the first time.
When I started using AniPro, I found it necessary to remove my other
applications, and associated data files, from these drives, to make space.
Now, the drives contain almost exclusively FLC's. I create over 50-100 Meg more
per day. It is inconvenient to run out of space on a daily basis, and
unproductive to have to discard much of my work. (I generate my FLCs for
educational purposes and need to keep the intermediate steps used to achieve
the final results).
What tools could I use to compress my FLCs more than by a factor of 2 (PKZIP)?
Are JPEG, MPEG, fractal conpression, etc. applicable? Can I obtain compression
programs through CompuServe?
