John, The rumors of MPW's death have been greatly exaggerated. The plan is to include MPW/ThC++ on ETO. There won't be any upgrade to MPW in the future, although it'll be changed to reflect any new technologies that come along. For example, I've heard of a new mpw running under a/ux, with their new C++ compiler (from Lucid, I think, codenamed Landshark). I doubt that it'll be much different from the MPW we know & love 😐 Also, given the bugs in ThC++, you might want to stay with ThC5/MPW. If you're used to Unix, MPW will be quite familiar, although the learning curve will probably be steeper than with the think products. Manuel Read action !
