Michael,
There are no card(S) plural…..If you've ever actually "heard" the Turtle
Beach Systems Multisound card as well as understand their professional
background in MIDI plus the fact they use the E-MU Protus Chip ( not sure of
the spelling here 🙂 ) Then you would know the ONLY card on the market that
gives professional results not game results with a 16bit rateing…is the
Multisound card.
If you wanna play games get a cheap SB card if your Serious about production
quality Sound the ONLY Choice is the Turtle Beach Card.
I Own and Sell these cards and have done so since they first came out two years
ago. They have a forum section on the Multimedia Vendors Forum and you may
contact them directly at (717) – 843-6916 They have an 800 number also but I
don't seem to have it handy at the moment so ask for it when you call…. you
will be calling them back.
They also have Turtle Tools which is a software package that works with:
Control Midi, Digital Audio, CD Audio all from Windows as well as WAVE for
Windows a very good Sound Editor with many newly added special effects
functions and its also super fast at processing WAVE files for things like
Backwards Masking and other effects.
If your Serious about sound, sound editing and/or happen to be a musician,
there is no other choice. Even if your not a musician this is the best way to
go for sound bar-none!!! The Specs exceed the output specs on my Sony "Music"
CD Deck. Really!!
