UNIX ?
The inner tracks of a HD are much faster than the outer tracks. If you
have a spare HD, make an small inner and a small outer partiontion and
test each with DiskSpeed 3. Having the (most commonly used) system files
in a small partition in the inner tracks results in better overall system
performance for most people.
