Mike – No, I think that you are making the mistake. Have you checked the prices of IBMs and Macintoshes these days? If you think anybody cares what special costs a proprietary manufacturer has, just ask Apple or Dec. To the average consumer, if the functionality is about the same, then price is all that matters. Unfortunately, most people don't see the Amiga or the Mac as justifying a higher price. Personally, I am willing to pay more for an Amiga – as I have demonstrated on a number of occasions. However, I don't like paying more because of Commodore's stupidity! As I said if they built in the things that everyone needs the initial price would be a little higher but it would be much cheaper in the long run. – Charles
