Richard, Indy comes with monitor, with color digital camera, with genlock, with DSP, with 16M ram — at the $4995 price. Yes, Indigo software and peripherals are extremely pricey at this point in time. However, SGI is attempting to enter the consumer market with Indy. It's obvious that a $5k machine will not support an $8k software package (in any kind of quantity). I believe you'll see software/peripheral pricing take a nose dive as more Indys are in consumer's hands. I believe you'll also see a wealth of new companies jumping into the Indigo world with new products are very competitive pricing. -sja
