Indy doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell. The consumer computer
market ends at $2300, not $5000. Software will never drop more than 12% in
price from todays level. 128 megs of RAM is required.
Only a few thousand Indy's will sell, average configuration will be
$18,000 for a starters kit.
The big Software companies (SGI guys) are damn good at what they do and
they know of what they speak.
This comes from them.
In two years you'll see Indy just getting warmed up with needed support
and developement. This will absolutely not be a storm of excitement. Just
barely a trickle of interest at it's highest.
You'll see, probably closer than you wished.
