Richard, I must be confused because I find your statement "[g]raphics processing demands resources that are orders of magnitudes greater than most people are used to using" curious, at best. I'm running only a 9 MB Amiga here and I have yet to run out of memory on ADPro or any of the other graphics programs I have. This in 24 bit mode. Now, I can picture a few reasons for my confusion, so I thought I'd enumerate them. One, I'm not reaching the high-end. What _are_ you doing with all that RAM? Am I missing something here? Two, the machines, the Mac and the Indy, require many times more resources to accomplish a transformation. That doesn't quite make sense, especially if a transformation is involved. Shouldn't the machine dedicate itself to this particular task? Three, as a matter of convienence, are you keeping massive amounts of images in memory at the same time? Why is this significant? As I stated, I must be missing something here if the minimum configuration is as you state. Brian
