I have a problem: I dug my old Comspec hard drive out of my basement, hoping to use it as a backup/auxiliary drive for stuff I don't use often. I set it up on my AmyDOS 2.1-equipped A500, and it sets up OK. The problem is when I power-up in the morning. The drive takes a while to spin up. (It's an old Seagate ST-277N 60-meg HD) So, by the time the drive has spun up, my GVP Series II controller has already mounted the bootup drive, and the Seagate is ignored. I DL'ed both LATESCSI.LZH (LateSCSIMount) and SCSIMT.LHA, in the hopes that one of these would be able to allow me to mount the Seagate later on in the startup-sequence. Neither program would recognize that I had a Hard Drive available on my system! I did everything the instructions for each program told me to. (I tried three different variation for the title of the device driver. [gvpscsi.amhd , devs:gvpscsi.amhd , gvpscsi.device]) Is there a program that will do what I want to to do? (Namely, mount the Seagate after it has spun up to speed.) Or am I stuck with rebooting my machine after power-up if I want to access it? Help. (^_^)
