Weird. My Viper PCI card plays flics in all sorts of resolutions fine. Ah,
hardware. The living nightmare.
Re making things swirl around. BlackBox has Vortex (also sold by the Schreiber
folks) which'll take arbitrary particles and make a vortex out of them.
Positron is still working on their Dynamics package with wind, gravity,
collision, etc — they'll be showing it at Siggraph in a beta form.
