Personally I would have made the comment, "too bad the warp engine doesn't have MIPS chips on them." And I would add, "too bad the warp engine isn't shipping yet," and "too bad they've reveresed engineered enough of LW3D to get the warp engine to suck in frames and render them." My understanding of these little warped engines is that they are 25-30 MIPS each, whatever that means, and that each CPU has its own memory. That means that with four processors you get 120MIPS, whatever that means, and each processor should require at least 32MB of memory; at $40 per megabyte that come out to over $5000 just for the memory. I hear these CPU boards were about $1995 each. That another $8000. Jeez, when you add it all up you get something thats almost as fast as a Raptor, cost almost as much, is almost shipping and is almost illegal. I'd say that's a pretty good deal, wouldn't you? 🙂 Don
