OK, I've gotten MANY responses concerning the A1200 motherboard, so here's what I dredged up (from my AmigaWorld archives <g>) Copperhead Technology's AGA motherboard kit (A500 _ONLY_) price: $273 with shipping (mail order only) or $248 for old motherboard trade-in.. If you can't find it in mail-order catalogues, contact copperhead at: 104 jay st. schenectady, NY 12305 PHONE: (518)346-3894 Just for the record: a 2.5 in. HD CAN be installed w/the A1200 upgrade, as well as use of the trapdoor slot on the bottom is usable, I'm not sure about PCMCIA, though. Also, just for the record, A1200s are remarkably easy to get and run $399 or so. (I get all my stuff through TENEX, and they're extremely reliable. They almost always have things in stock, and when they don't they tell you, and it arrives within 2 days or so, and they ship right away. (no false advertising here folks, I tried it, they've got everything, including (I believe) the A4000T (they've got a couple hundred _in stock_) TO ALL WHO ASKED FER THIS INFO: YOU'RE WELCOME! <g> Which is better for heating up frozen dinner, Power PC or Pentium? Ahh, who cares, get an Amiga! -Nathan Jones- via AutoPilot
