Everything you mentioned has alot of merit. Quite frankly I'm indifferent to whether or not the forum needs another area to specifically address these concepts. They could easily be discussed in any area that a person saw fit to bring them up. I do believe that the aspect of building, maintaining and planning a company's growth are totally unrelated to installing a graphics card or discussing using a matte. I also feel that there are obviously people on the forum who are doing so well that they wouldn't benefit from reading threads relating to contractual matters or structuring projects, while others are probably happy just maintaining their current position. That's why I was trying to find out who had originally said that there was an open section in another forum. (It turned out to be Evan) We carry on quite a bit of e-mail traffic discussing everything from negotiating with various typs of clients, to the advantages of incorporating. All of these topics have special twists for the animation market. Additionally legal issues surrounding the animation/graphics market are constantly changing, it's all very interesting to a number of people and would probably bore a large number of others. It would be intresting to be able to have a section some where to discuss such topics and also be able to maintain a list of people who were in the section. Please don't take my ramblings as a call for another section or a change to the current structure of the forum. I'm just following up to a few e-mail and land-line conversations and testing the waters for interest.
