Eni,
Thanks for the info. I believe I am stricken.
I was working today with 3ds (actually watching the rep play) and we designed a
table in about an hour.
What you said is very much to the point but, as I am not an Architect, I would
like to be the one hired to do the rendering.
Here in New York an Architect is required to do virtually anything involving
structure in most towns. I have found that one of the biggest problems in my
area (Kitchens, baths and furniture) is the inability of the customer to
visualize how their interior or table or marble walls will look. The table we
created today in 3ds is a beautiful representation in color showing grain,
glass etc. Most of the furniture manufacturers I work with could make it right
from the rendered drawing with minimal dimensioning.
Since I am now doing cabinets in Generic 3d ( I can design and draw a nice
kitchen in about 6 hours) and I feel that 3ds is faster AND more powerful I
can't see where I would not increase productivity and give a better final
representation to the customer.
Now, if I can just get $2800……..
Any ideas?
Thanks again,
Don
