He has _no_view_. Which means that no matter how cleanly he attaches the
control bars, if there is one at the top or left side of the frame it will
overlay 0,0 in the frame's client area, which is exactly what he says is
happening.

Hey no problem–I can take it. Besides, I know where you live….
But my post was a subtle (maybe *too* subtle) hint that people using things
like tool bars and status bars really ought to be using the doc/view
architecture anyway, since we get so much help from the framework. If it has a
tool bar, it likely doesn't qualify as a "really stripped down bare-bones" app
anyway.
